In one of our recent wins, we represented Dr. Euna McGruder in a lawsuit against Metro Nashville Public Schools. Dr. McGruder was hired during the 2015-2016 school year as Executive Officer for Priority Schools, a role that aims to help the lowest performing schools, including at the time, Madison Middle. However, after investigating reports of discrimination and hostile work environment complaints that were brought to her attention at Madison Middle, she was told they were “going in a different direction.”
The court confirmed what Dr. McGruder had long suspected – that she was let go because of her investigation into discrimination complaints at the school. This case is a victory for our client and those who believe in justice and fairness in the workplace. Dr. McGruder’s story is a reminder that we will continue to fight for our clients, no matter how long it takes. Please contact us today if you believe you have been the victim of workplace discrimination or retaliation. We are here to help.
